The members of RCIA 2024 participated in their Pre-Sacrament Retreat on Saturday, Feb. 17th. The following day, Sunday, Feb. 18th, they joined 600 other Candidates and Catechumens and Bishop Weisenberger at St. Augustine Cathedral for the Rite of Election. The Bishop accepted them and Blessed their continued journey to Easter.

Becoming A Catholic...The RCIA Program

The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is designed for adults who are not baptized or have been baptized in another denomination and who wish to become Catholics.  The formal process begins each year in September and culminates in the Solemn Liturgy of the Lord’s Resurrection on Holy Saturday and includes weekly meetings, study, discussion and developing an understanding the Roman Catholic Faith. Weekly meetings run from September until Pentecost.
