Please join us for the Novena and the Divine Mercy Sunday Celebration!
On Sunday, April 7, at 3:00 p.m. our Parish will celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday for the first time! The Divine Mercy Devotion was revealed to a humble Polish nun, Sr. Faustina, by Jesus Himself during a series of visions in the 1930s.
In the year 2000, Pope St. John Paul II canonized St. Faustina and proclaimed that the Second Sunday of Easter would henceforth also be Divine Mercy Sunday.
Our Lord gave a great promise about this Feast: "The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion [on Divine Mercy Sunday] will obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment." He also asked that we do deeds of mercy for others in return for His great mercy to us.
In preparation for the Feast, we will pray a Divine Mercy Novena each day from Good Friday, March 29, through Saturday, April 6, at 3:00 p.m. in the church.
More information is available in the back of the church.
